Railway action at Plumley
The mid Cheshire line is an important secondary route linking Manchester and the north with Chester and Wales. It has always been a very important relief route for freight and many services heading to the heart of the west Cheshire chemical industries or the west coast mainline connection at Weaver junction use the route.
This trip was my first long-ish ride of 2025, shortly after a significant overhaul of my bike. It was a pleasant (mostly) bright and comfortably warm day, at last!
