Journey to Alderley Park

A random selection

Some random pictures from around Hocker Lane and Alderley Park near to home. Hocker Lane is an unadopted (privately maintained) road that goes from Prestbury to Alderley Edge. It is my preferred cycling route to Alderley and a very picturesque trip. At the Alderley end of Hocker lane there is Alderley park wood and much of this area is a protected nature reserve though some public footpaths go through un protected parts. This leads into the new Alderley Park commercial area, much of it built on land that was previously owned by Astra Zenica?

Alderley park also includes some very attractive (very expensive) new build homes faithfully constructed in a Neo-georgian style and adjacent to the converted church which is now the Churchill Tree pub / restaurant, no doubt providing dining services to the many local workers from Royal London and Astra.
