A still day in Henbury
Revisiting (and reworking) a familiar picture from a short trip out on the bike in 2019. A still and engaging setting near Henbury, Cheshire. A place not so far from me that is a patchwork of gently rolling fields, large private estates and all with a certain unique atmosphere – garden-like landscape on the scale of agri land.
This solitary young tree (a hornbeam?) looked so perfect in its oddly manicured setting yet I was on an open public footpath that eventually goes through the grounds of a very impressive private home.
